Searching for a personal loan in Singapore can be overwhelming. Contacting lenders one at a time, comparing rates manually, and waiting for offers takes time and effort. PickMeALoan exists to shorten that. Using your Singpass credentials, you submit one application and compare offers from participating licensed lenders in one place — free for you to use. Receiving matched offers does not automatically affect your credit score; a credit check only happens if you choose to proceed with a lender’s formal application.
Key Takeaway: PickMeALoan is a free-to-borrower loan comparison and application platform, operated by DoubleAM AI Automation Marketing Pte. Ltd. It is not a lender — it passes your application to participating licensed lenders and returns their offers. Every approval decision and final term belongs to the lender.
What Is PickMeALoan?
PickMeALoan is a Singapore loan comparison and application facilitation platform. Instead of visiting lenders one by one or calling brokers, you verify your identity once via Singpass, answer a few questions about your borrowing needs, and your application goes to participating licensed lenders whose offers come back to you in one place.
The platform does two distinct jobs:
- Comparison. It publishes information about licensed lenders in Singapore — licence status, products, published costs, branch details and limitations — so you can weigh providers before approaching any of them.
- Application facilitation. It carries one application to participating lenders and returns their offers so you can compare them side by side.
It is free for borrowers to use and requires no commitment until you decide to proceed with a lender.
Who Operates PickMeALoan?
PickMeALoan is a brand of DoubleAM AI Automation Marketing Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-registered company and a member of the Singapore FinTech Association. DoubleAM builds and runs the platform and publishes the lender reviews and comparison pages on the site. Full company and role details are on the about us page.
Is PickMeALoan a Lender?
No. PickMeALoan is not a bank, not a licensed moneylender, and not a credit bureau. It does not lend money, hold your funds, set interest rates, assess your creditworthiness, or approve or decline any loan.
Those decisions sit entirely with the licensed lender you choose. The only terms that bind you and that lender are the ones written in the lender’s offer and Note of Contract. PickMeALoan also does not act as your agent in negotiating with a lender, and it does not promise a lowest or best-in-market rate.
What Problem Does PickMeALoan Solve?
Before PickMeALoan, borrowers faced several obstacles:
- Time-consuming research — comparing offers meant contacting lenders directly, one at a time
- Lack of transparency — unclear fees and inconsistent disclosure made real cost comparison difficult
- Credit score concerns — applying directly to many lenders meant repeated formal applications
- Privacy concerns — borrowers worried about data being sold or lenders cold-calling them
PickMeALoan’s approach: one Singpass-verified application, passed to participating licensed lenders, with their offers returned for side-by-side comparison. Participating lenders do not receive your contact details for unsolicited sales calls, and you choose which offers to take forward. Receiving matched offers does not automatically affect your credit score — a credit check only happens if you choose to proceed with a lender’s formal application.
It does not remove every step. Ministry of Law rules still require a licensed moneylender to verify your identity face to face at its approved place of business before granting a loan, and each lender still runs its own assessment.
How PickMeALoan Works
- Verify with Singpass — secure identity verification
- Share your loan needs — loan amount, tenure, and income details
- Your profile is matched — checked against each participating lender’s stated criteria. This is a filter, not a credit decision
- Compare the offers returned — rate, fees, instalments and total repayment, side by side
- Choose and apply — only then does the lender run a credit check, assess you, and decide
Approval, the amount, the rate and the time to disbursement are the lender’s decision, and they depend on your documents and the required in-person verification. No timeline is promised here.

How Does PickMeALoan Check That a Lender Is Licensed?
Every moneylender on the platform must appear on the Registry of Moneylenders maintained by Singapore’s Ministry of Law. The check is specific:
- The lender’s legal entity name, licence number and approved place of business are matched against the Ministry of Law’s list of licensed moneylenders. A trading brand alone is not enough, because several unrelated Singapore businesses use similar names.
- Details are re-checked each time the Ministry publishes an updated list, and the date of the list used is recorded. Our current lender reviews were checked against the lists dated 1 July 2026 and 1 September 2026; each review states the date it used.
A licence confirms that a regulated entity was authorised at that address on the date of that list. It does not confirm that a loan will be approved, that a price is reasonable, or that a product suits you. Check the current list yourself before visiting a lender or sharing personal information. The Ministry of Law also warns that licensed moneylenders may not solicit loans by SMS, phone call or social media.
What Are PickMeALoan’s Key Features?
- Singpass verification — identity verified once, no separate signup
- A network of participating licensed lenders — compare their offers in one place
- No automatic credit-score impact — receiving matched offers does not automatically affect your credit score; a credit check only happens if you choose to proceed with a lender’s formal application
- Free for borrowers — no fee is charged to you
- No unsolicited sales calls — participating lenders do not receive your contact details to cold-call you, and your data is not sold to third parties. What is collected, why, and for how long is set out in the privacy policy
- Dated, sourced figures — costs are labelled with their source and the date they were checked
Who Is PickMeALoan For?
- Salaried employees — stable, documented income
- Self-employed and freelancers — tax returns and business financials are accepted by some lenders
- Low to moderate income earners — some licensed lenders assess incomes below typical bank minimums
- Borrowers with weak credit histories — some licensed lenders weigh repayment ability alongside credit history
- Foreigners on work passes — EP, S Pass and Work Permit holders can apply, subject to each lender’s criteria and the Ministry of Law’s income-based borrowing caps
- Anyone comparing options — side-by-side comparison before committing
Being in one of these groups does not mean a lender will approve you. Each lender sets its own criteria and makes its own decision.
How Does PickMeALoan Make Money?
PickMeALoan operates on a referral commission model. When you apply through PickMeALoan and a loan is successfully approved, the lender pays a commission. You never pay this — it is built into the lender’s business model. That commission is a commercial interest, and it is worth knowing when you read our comparisons. We do not sell your personal data, and there are no premium tiers or hidden borrower costs.
What Can PickMeALoan Not Do?
Stated plainly, so you can judge the platform fairly:
- It does not cover every licensed lender in Singapore. The comparison shows participating lenders; other licensed lenders exist in the market. Comparing here is not the same as comparing the whole market.
- It cannot guarantee approval, a rate, an amount or a timeline. No offer is final until the lender issues it in writing.
- It does not negotiate for you or promise a lowest or best-in-market rate.
- Published information goes stale. Licence entries, rates, fees, addresses and hours change; verify anything you rely on before committing.
- It is not financial advice. If a repayment would leave too little for rent, food, utilities, transport or existing debts, the right answer may be not to borrow.
What Is the Story Behind PickMeALoan?
PickMeALoan was built by a Singapore-based fintech team frustrated with how fragmented and opaque the loan market was. Learn more on our about us page. The aim is narrow and practical: give borrowers licence-verified, dated, like-for-like information before they apply, instead of leaving them to piece it together from advertisements.
